Tracey Watson
Tracey has held many titles throughout her career: content strategist, narrative designer, UX writer, interactive copywriter. Whatever you want to call her (“Tracey” works just fine), all her work to-date has laddered up to one central goal: strategically use language and visuals to design meaningful stories and user-centric experiences for different audiences and platforms. Her professional work in the digital landscape spans 18 years, and includes writing stories for mobile games such as ”Candy Crush Saga” and "My Little Pony"; reporting about games and tech for Wired, TIME, News Corp., and Forbes, among others; devising content strategy, brand voice, and UX/UI copy for DIRECTV; designing VR/AR experiences for the healthcare industry; working on the voice user interface for Erica, Bank of America's first AI-driven virtual assistant; and teaching “Copywriting Strategies for Better UX” at General Assembly.Now at Netflix, she was the Lead Content Designer for Netflix’s Interactive Experiences group, known for developing the Emmy-winning title “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch.” She now leads the Content Design work for Netflix’s new games initiative.
