How to get to London
London has several major airports:
From Paddington either take a black cab to your hotel (~£25 on the meter) or take the tube. This is cheaper and faster than getting a black cab all the way from Heathrow.
If you are on a budget, you can also take the Picadilly tube line from Heathrow, which is an hour and a half journey, or the Heathrow Connect train to Paddington, which runs twice per hour.
From Gatwick Airport take the Gatwick Express train to Victoria station (£33.20 return). Trains run every 15 minutes, and it’s a 30-minute journey. From Victoria either take a black cab to your hotel (~£15 on the meter) or take the tube. Non-express trains from Gatwick are cheaper but take longer.
London City Airport
From City Airport either take a black cab to your hotel (~£35 on the meter) or take the Docklands Light Railway to Bank. Trains run every 8 to 15 minutes, and it’s a 22-minute journey. From Bank, you can transfer to the tube.
Eurostar trains from France and Belgium arrive at St. Pancras International station. From St. Pancras take a black cab to your hotel (~£10 on the meter) or you can transfer to the tube.
